October 24 through November 6 the SUNY system is allowing students to receive fee waivers for up to five SUNY campuses free of charge.
You can do so using either the Common Application or the SUNY application.
Using Common App: you need to apply campus by campus. On each SUNY campus’s member page, a question reads, “It is free application week with The State University of New York through November 6. Would you like SUNY to pay your application fee?” When you select “Yes,” your fee will be waived for that SUNY campus. You may select up to five SUNY schools.
Using ApplySUNY: when you get to the payment page, it will show the first five campus application fees as waived (as SUNY will pay them.)
This opportunity is available to students applying either as first time or as transfer students.
