House v NCAA signifie de grands changements dans le sport universitaire

“A federal judge has approved the multibillion-dollar class-action legal settlement known as House v. NCAA, paving the way for a new era for college sports.

Starting this fall, colleges and universities in the NCAA’s top division will be allowed to directly pay athletes for the first time. Payments will be limited by a salary cap set initially at $20.5 million per school. And more than $2 billion will be paid out to former college athletes who were not allowed to earn money…”

Youth Ambassadors featured in the local news!

12 youth ambassadors sit on a low wall. Behind is the reflection pool and the U.S. senate building in Washington D.C. The Canadian Youth Ambassadors have completed their summer exchange to the United States! The 12 youth and 2 adult mentors went to Tulsa, Oklahoma for their homestay and then visited the national monuments in Washington, D.C. When in Tulsa, they were featured in the local newspaper!

Lorsque vous transférez votre compte, vous conservez toutes les informations qui ont été saisies dans la Common App et qui sont toujours applicables après la mise à jour. Après le 1er août, toutes les informations et questions spécifiques à l’université ont été mises à jour. Vous pouvez maintenant accéder à votre “College List” et consulter toutes les questions supplémentaires auxquelles vous devrez répondre pour chaque école à laquelle vous souhaitez postuler.

August 1, 2022 Common App is now open!

News Update The Common Application has been updated for the 2022-23 application cycle. If you started your application before August 1, you will be asked if you would like to “rollover” your account. When you rollover your account, you will keep any information that has been entered into the Common Application and that is still applicable after the update. After August 1, all of the university-specific information and questions have been updated. You can now go into your “College List” and check out all the supplemental questions you will need to answer for each school you would like to apply to.

News Update You can now register for the Fall SAT dates on the Collegeboard website. The Fall 2022 dates are:
  • August 27, 2022
  • October 1, 2022
  • November 5, 2022 (in the United States only)
  • December 2, 2022

EducationUSA Canada Sports Virtual Showcase

Learn about athletic eligibility, scholarships, and 8 diverse U.S. universities and colleges! REGISTER HERE.

The Showcase will begin with a presentation on “Eligibility for Sports Scholarships” by EducationUSA adviser Jenika Heim (3:00-3:30 pm ET). This will include NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA eligibility information as well as some tips for the recruitment process.

Then, every 15 minutes, a U.S. admissions officer will give information about their university including campus highlights, top majors, admissions procedures, and a special focus on athletic offerings and resources.
